Tiny surf today, about thigh-high. Tomorrow should be a bit better, getting to a 1.4 m swell by the afternoon, which should translate to some chest- to shoulder-high waves. Stay stoked!

Believe it or not, this is Hainan.

I can't even begin to describe how good today was. As good as Hainan gets. Double overhead perfect waves coming through, peeling down the line like a machine. Incredible. I got a lot of water footage. Going through it now, will put some up soon.

Yesterday was still a bit of fun in Dadonghai as the last of the Typhoon Conson swell faded. About shoulder-high on the set. Lots of nastiness in the water though, including a ton of logs from a pier that had been destroyed and were washing into the bay.

Tininess today, and might be for the next few days. By Thursday we should have a longboard wave in the water, with the weekend having a bit more size.

昨天还不错，大东海有胸部高的浪。今天太小了，不可以玩。等星期四才有一个长板的浪。周末会高一点。

Word is it's pretty damn big on the east coast, so we're gonna head out there in a bit. Will update with pics and video later.

Lake flat out in Dadonghai now.

Tropical Storm Conson is headed to Hainan. She is forecasted to smack into the northeast of Hainan, around Wenchang. Conson isn't forecasted to make typhoon grade, so it shouldn't be too destructive.

Will she produce? Tough to say. She is moving towards us pretty fast, which could mean we just get a bunch of wind and rain, but no real swell. We'll probably be driving around a lot tomorrow, looking for a spot on the east coast that is working well.

Not much happening in the water today.

It looks like we have some tropical activity going on in the Pacific. If the depression can jump over the Philippines, we could get something churning in our South China Sea. Keep an eye out.

Today was a ton of fun. About belly-high long peelers coming through, getting better as the tide dropped throughout the day. I took out an 8'6 and was catching a ton of waves. Longest session I've had for a while.

This summer has been really good so far. Not much size, but consistently something to ride for the last three weeks.

Looks to be pretty similar for the coming week, which should mean days varying between thigh- to shoulder-high. Not bad.
