Smallness looks to stay that way. Maybe getting a south bump later by Monday. I guess we still haven't had the first proper south swell of the season yet. Just a few bumpy days that didn't qualify (too small and crappy) and then that three hour window last Wednesday brought on from TS Chan Hom, which quickly moved east and took the waves away. Almost mid-May, and still not a real south swell. Bit strange!

In other news, our quarter pipe is almost completed! Thanks to Matt for really getting it going. Will post pics soon.

Chan Hom turned out to provide us nothing except a quick south bump in Dadonghai on Wednesday. It went too quickly east into the Philippines. For now, we still have a bit of an east push, but that's about it for the short future. Longboards in Houhai!

Waves in Dadonghai now! About rib-high, coming through with a bit of juice. Must be from TS Chan Hom, churning to the south of us. Sweet!

Its been a really fun last week of waves. East swell still coming through for the next week as well. Not too much size, but still some fun to be had.

Yesterday was the best day of the swell so far. Was getting tons of text messages from the boys u in Riyuewan saying it was going off. Houhai was pretty good yesterday as well, with every third set wave lining u with a decent enough shoulder for a couple of turns, and then reforming on the inside for some nice rides all the way into the beach. Heading up the east coast in a couple of hours.

Surfed up in Riyuewan yeterday. The swell was already coming in okay, at about chest- to shoulder-high set waves. Heard that today was a little smaller, but it should really start coming in tomorrow and stick around for a few days in the head-high plus range. Get on it while you can, highly likely that this will be the last NE swell of the season.

Another NE swell n the way! This one looks pretty damn good, although again, gotta be a bit skeptical with the forecasts in the in-between season period. It was around this time last year that we scored a sick NE swell though. It should start cranking by the 28th and stick around until the 1st. Long term forecast shows some tropical activity following as well. Could be a good solid week of great surf. We deserve it, been tiny tiny tiny for almost two weeks now.

A bit of waves coming through this weekend in Dadonghai, but nothing to get too excited about. Perhaps still a little something for tomorrow, but we're pretty much stuck in the between season doldrums now.

Oh man that south swell isn't as looking as good now. Should still be some rideable waves showing up in a few days, but not much oomph behind it at all. Min mal, maybe a fish. I desperately need some real surf.

Alright, we're looking to get our first proper south swell of the season coming up this weekend. Nothing epic, but should get up to chest-high by the weekend.
