Small but ridable out there today. Got pretty funky out there yesterday with a strong west wind. When the wind calmed down in the later afternoon, there were some tubing chest-high sets rolling through. Most of them were peaking and had a place to get in. But with a super quick top-to-bottom and some strong suck off the sand bar, it was pretty challenging. The kind of wave that you know a pro would tear apart, but I spend most of the time getting pitched.

Lots of activity to the south of us, with swell from Vietnam heading east towards the Philippines. Nothing looking to come up north to us though. Should still be something to ride for the next week though.

Strong west wind out there. Sideways messy chest-high waves coming through. Could be okay if we get a clean up.

Small scale surf today, about waist-high. But breaking nicely enough, crumbling on in and not dumping at all. We should have something to ride in the water all week. Nothing special.

Sorry dear readers for the lack of updates recently. We switched servers and had some technical difficulties. All has been resolved though, we are good to go.

We had the best swell of the summer about a week ago, with getting a three hour window on afternoon when it was nearly head-high. Nice peaks coming through, semi-rippable.

It's been pretty consistent over the past few weeks, with at least a belly-high wave sticking around.

We're getting later into the summer, and thus increasing our chances of a nice typhoon swell. We're really due for one. Could use some big bomby surf.

We had the best swell we've had so far this summer a few days ago. During the best session, it got about head-high, and was super fun. Semi-clean swell, what is exactly what DDH needs. Too clean and it just closes out. A little messiness helps the peaks. Nice beach break goodness, breaking way far out at low tide.

Back to small-scale summer surf. Knee-high gutless longboard waves.

Look to get some chest-plus waves by the weekend. Love your summer surf. It loves you.

It's super clean but tiny out there today. about thigh-to waist high. Can get a longboard going okay though. Looking pretty drab for the coming week. Come on tropics, let's start churning already!
